THE CHARITYについて

THE CHARITYは、株式会社ペトログが主催する、どうぶつ福祉のチャリティーイベントです。第1回となる「#01 -アートで動物を救う-」では、国内外33名のアーティストによる70点を超えるアート作品の展示・販売をはじめ、保護犬・保護猫の譲渡会、チャリティーグッズやペット用品の販売、ワークショップを開催します。

アート作品のご購入は、そのまま動物たちへの支援につながります。イベントで生じた利益は全額、動物保護団体・個人活動家への必要な物資の支援に活用されます。

会期：2026年8月29日（土）〜 9月6日（日）11:00〜18:00 ※8月31日（月）は休廊
会場：JPS GALLERY Tokyo（東京都渋谷区神宮前6-27-4）｜入場無料・ペット同伴可

THE CHARITY is an animal-welfare charity event organised by Petlog Inc. Its first edition, "#01 – Saving Animals Through Art –", features an exhibition and sale of over 70 artworks by 33 artists from Japan and overseas, along with adoption events for rescued dogs and cats, sales of charity goods and pet products, and workshops.

Every purchase of an artwork directly supports animals in need: all profits from the event go towards essential supplies for animal-welfare organisations and independent rescuers.

JPS Galleryについて

2014年に香港で誕生した現代アートギャラリー。現在は東京にも拠点を構え、世界各地のアーティストの作品を展覧会や国際的なアートフェアを通じて紹介しています。次世代を担う若手アーティストのキャリア形成を継続的にサポートするほか、チャリティーイベントやオークションへの協賛を通じて、社会とアートシーンへの貢献にも力を注いでいます。

Established in Hong Kong in 2014, JPS Gallery is a contemporary art gallery with a second home in Tokyo. Through its exhibitions and participation in international art fairs, the gallery introduces works by artists from around the world, while offering ongoing support to emerging artists as they build their careers. JPS Gallery is also committed to giving back — to both society and the local art community — through its sponsorship of charity events and auctions.

アーティストからのコメント

普段は、「記憶の気配」をテーマに糸で制作しています。大切な存在と過ごした時間は、特別な出来事だけではなく、何気ない日常の積み重ねによって育まれていくものだと思います。その小さな時間の重なりは、いつか私たちを支える記憶になっていく。この作品が、そんな日々の温度をそっと思い返すきっかけになれば嬉しいです。

アーティストについて

菅野湧己（Wakumi Kanno）（日本）

東京藝術大学大学院美術研究科先端芸術表現専攻在籍。記録されなかった記憶の気配を縫っている。消費のために設計され、制度の中で役目を終えた包装やラベル、生活に残る痕跡——あるいは、もう名前すら持たない記憶の断片を、刺繍によって縫いとめる作品を制作している。支えを失ったあとの記憶にかたちを与えるように、糸だけを残している。

Artist’s Comment

My practice is usually centered around the theme of “traces of memory,” which I express through thread. I believe that the time we spend with those who are precious to us is shaped not only by special moments, but also by the accumulation of ordinary, everyday experiences. These small fragments of time eventually become memories that quietly support us. I would be happy if this work could gently evoke the warmth of those days and inspire you to look back on the precious moments they hold.

About the Artist

Wakumi Kanno (Japan)

Currently enrolled in the Department of Intermedia Art, Graduate School of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts. Kanno stitches together traces of memories that were never recorded. Through embroidery, Kanno preserves fragments of packaging and labels created for consumption and discarded once they have fulfilled their purpose, as well as the traces left behind in everyday life and memories that no longer have a name. By leaving only the thread behind, Kanno gives form to memories that persist even after the physical objects and contexts that once sustained them have disappeared.
