THE CHARITYについて

THE CHARITYは、株式会社ペトログが主催する、どうぶつ福祉のチャリティーイベントです。第1回となる「#01 -アートで動物を救う-」では、国内外33名のアーティストによる70点を超えるアート作品の展示・販売をはじめ、保護犬・保護猫の譲渡会、チャリティーグッズやペット用品の販売、ワークショップを開催します。

アート作品のご購入は、そのまま動物たちへの支援につながります。イベントで生じた利益は全額、動物保護団体・個人活動家への必要な物資の支援に活用されます。

会期：2026年8月29日（土）〜 9月6日（日）11:00〜18:00 ※8月31日（月）は休廊
会場：JPS GALLERY Tokyo（東京都渋谷区神宮前6-27-4）｜入場無料・ペット同伴可

THE CHARITY is an animal-welfare charity event organised by Petlog Inc. Its first edition, "#01 – Saving Animals Through Art –", features an exhibition and sale of over 70 artworks by 33 artists from Japan and overseas, along with adoption events for rescued dogs and cats, sales of charity goods and pet products, and workshops.

Every purchase of an artwork directly supports animals in need: all profits from the event go towards essential supplies for animal-welfare organisations and independent rescuers.

JPS Galleryについて

2014年に香港で誕生した現代アートギャラリー。現在は東京にも拠点を構え、世界各地のアーティストの作品を展覧会や国際的なアートフェアを通じて紹介しています。次世代を担う若手アーティストのキャリア形成を継続的にサポートするほか、チャリティーイベントやオークションへの協賛を通じて、社会とアートシーンへの貢献にも力を注いでいます。

「THE CHARITY #01」は、本イベントの趣旨にご賛同いただいたJPS Galleryの多大なご協力により実現しました。協賛として会場をご提供いただくとともに、国内外33名の参加アーティストの招集にもお力添えいただいています。

Established in Hong Kong in 2014, JPS Gallery is a contemporary art gallery with a second home in Tokyo. Through its exhibitions and participation in international art fairs, the gallery introduces works by artists from around the world, while offering ongoing support to emerging artists as they build their careers. JPS Gallery is also committed to giving back — to both society and the local art community — through its sponsorship of charity events and auctions.

THE CHARITY #01 has been made possible through the generous support of JPS Gallery, which shares the vision of this event. As a sponsor, the gallery has provided its exhibition space and helped bring together the 33 participating artists from Japan and overseas.

愛護活動に今はなき青年協議会の街頭募金活動を上野駅前でを3年間継続し表彰されたことがある 10年前の夜、事務所に勝手に入ってきた猫を今飼い続けている。 名前はセンという。

アーティストについて

工藤 秀昭（Hideaki Kudo）（日本）

1977年8月、福岡県生まれ。幼少期に父を亡くし、母方の実家がある埼玉で育つ。小学生の頃、「日本一汚い川」を題材にした作品を描き、市展金賞を受賞する。20代ではさまざまな職種を経験しながら多様な技術を身につけ、30代からは映画のセット制作や美術の分野で活動を展開。40代以降は、国内外のアーティストによる個展や展示空間のインスタレーション制作を数多く担当する。代表的な担当アーティストとして、b.wing.JoeFoti等が挙げられる。レトロ空間熊野町交差点もスタートから4年間制作を継続している。

Artist’s Comment

I once participated in street fundraising activities for animal welfare in front of Ueno Station for three consecutive years through a youth association that no longer exists, and was recognized with an award for my efforts. Ten years ago, one night, a cat wandered into my office on its own. I have been caring for that cat ever since. His name is Sen.

About the Artist

Hideaki Kudo (Japan)

Born in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan, in August 1977. After losing his father at a young age, Kudo was raised in Saitama, where his mother’s family lived. During elementary school, Kudo created a work depicting “the dirtiest river in Japan” and received a Gold Award at a local art exhibition. In his twenties, Kudo gained a wide range of skills through various professional experiences. From his thirties onward, Kudo expanded his practice into the fields of film set production and art direction. Since his forties, Kudo has been involved in numerous installation projects for solo exhibitions and exhibition spaces by artists from Japan and abroad. Artists he has worked with include b.wing and Joe Foti. Kudo has continuously produced works for Retro Space Kumanocho Intersection for four years since its launch.
